Storage conversion kit

An optional, bus-isolation board for enhanced hot swap functioning is available for most SCSI Data Express models, which supports installation, removal or exchange of drive carriers while the computer system is still operating. The isolation function monitors and protects the computer and other devices on the SCSI bus by delaying the actual power up/down of the Data Express drive unit until an inactive time period is detected between SCSI bus cycles, thus preventing interruption of other bus activity. This feature also prevents drive power sequencing from generating noise on the SCSI bus, which can prevent corruption of data sent to other devices. (Note: PC systems may require mount/dismount software to take advantage of the isolator board feature.) This isolator board has 80-pin to 68-pin SCSI adapter.
